Thank you Jen. I appreciate your kind words my sister. I played all the MCC chats on double speed so I could catch up =) All this identity stuff is interesting. It’s also interesting how our identity can change throughout our life. Steven Riley just sent me the best article about this topic called “Raceless Like Me”. The author (Zoe Weinberg) was a student of a race trancender (Carlos Hoyt). Zoe interviewed a bunch of people and goes into the critical details. If you only read one article about ‘race’, this is the one you want to read: http://www.thecrimson.com/article/2011/10/13/scrutiny-raceless-students/

Glenn–I finally had time last Friday to listen to this episode! It was great to hear your voice and listen to your thoughts about “race” and immigration issues. I agree with Fanshen and Jennifer–think you gave the most poetic answer ever to their opening question. Did you enjoy your chat? I hope so…I enjoyed listening!

I am also trying (like you) to listen to all of the archived episodes of Mixed Chicks Chat. It turns out that 1 episode is the exact length of my commute from work. Perfect 😀 Keep up your good work in social justice, my friend. Your voice is important and I am glad I got to hear it on MCC!
